About YardDoc’s History and Vision
YardDoc was created in 2016 by Adrian Fowler. His mission was to build a professional services business focused on maintaining and enhancing everything outside.
The company evolved with the purchase of a handful of existing Austin service businesses. Two of those original business owners are still very much a part of the YardDoc team. This means that although the business is new, it offers over twenty years of expertise in each area of service.
Our goal is to be your preferred partner for exterior property services across Austin, Texas. We achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty with long-term relationships, great service, consistent communication, and fair pricing. We live by our motto and guarantee – Professional Service and Personal Care.
The YardDoc Management Team
Adrian studied finance in college and went on and earned an MBA. He started his first business while still a student. His offerings included looking after pets, pool cleaning, lawn mowing, and handyman services.
He hired and managed fellow students to deliver these services. Adrian lived and worked in South Africa, Vienna, Austria, and Prague in the Czech Republic.
He was involved in many businesses before deciding to settle in Austin, Texas, and launch YardDoc.
I enjoy helping people; it energizes me, and this is why I started YardDoc. The caveat is that I hate failing people–and that makes it really, really tough when things don’t work out exactly as planned. We do offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee though, so if we make a mistake, we make it right or we don’t charge for the service.
Jeff Cox – Pool Service Manager
Jeff has over ten years of experience encompassing roles in Texas and Colorado.
Jeff has been involved in all aspects of pool service, from cleaning pools, installing and repairing all types of pool equipment, re-modeling and building pools, and building and running his own pool business.
Jeff has literally done it all in pools, from digging the holes and laying rebar to implementing and managing the most advanced intelligent chemical management systems on the market.
Jeff is a chemical expert and well versed at troubleshooting/repairing pool automation systems.
Jeff is a Texan who loves the outdoors; He spends his free time exploring the hiking trails and paddle boarding the rivers and lakes of Austin, as well as regular and disc golfing. Jeff loves house plants and has filled his house with both native and exotic plants.
Jeremy Archer – Operations Manager
Jeremy grew up on a pig farm in Oregon where he learned all about running and maintaining a farm, until he enlisted as an infantry soldier in the U.S. Army.
After deployments around the world serving his country, Jeremy went to college and began a career in teaching. He spent 8 years teaching middle school math and science. Despite the intrinsic reward of molding the minds of future generation, Jeremy longed for a career change and a return to his roots. He missed working outside with his hands.
Jeremy started at YardDoc 4 years ago as an irrigation technician and maintenance crew member. Jeremy’s eagerness and ability to learn quickly lead him to become an irrigation specialist and then Operations Manager who oversees all the irrigation/maintenance crews and jobs.
Jeremy has 3 college degrees and can speak 3 languages: Spanish, Russian and English. He has travelled the world covering 3 Continents, 11 countries, and 35 U.S. states.
Family and friends are everything to Jeremy; he loves being a father to his two wonderful children. He can be found banging on the drums or seeking local adventures with his loved ones.
Michael Duffy- Landscaping Manager
Michael has over 20 years’ experience in commercial construction, landscape maintenance, and hardscape. His biggest passion is creating and developing outdoor spaces that are beautiful and can be enjoyed by everyone, whether in a residential setting or in commercial settings.
Mike started his career in site work in Southern California, and then moved to Austin, Texas working on landscape and hardscape projects for Apple, Round Rock Sports Complex, UMHB Performing Arts Center and other office and municipal sites. On the development side, Mike has managed projects in communities such as Bryson, Headwaters, Spanish Oaks, and at the Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club.
During his years of experience, he has gained a wealth of knowledge on the kind of plants and trees that thrive and are sustainable with minimum maintenance here in Central Texas. Michael enjoys time outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, and boating with his wife and children.
Teresa Wright – Office Manager
Teresa moved to Austin from Canada after spending a year in Hawaii. She has dedicated her career to customer service and office administrative positions.
Before moving to Hawaii, she worked at one of the largest Insurance companies in Canada for 5 years, in the personal insurance division working closely with clients.
Teresa is friendly and personable, always wanting to give the best service to clients and customers, whether in person or on the phone.
Teresa loves to travel, explore, discover, and learn about people and new places. She believes that life should be an adventure and to live each day to the fullest.
Teresa loves to help people and strives to do her best with whatever situation or problem may arise, always wanting to make sure everyone is happy.
