December 2020 Home Maintenance
Need any repairs done before the holidays? Let one of our Handymen take this task off your plate!
There is still time to get it done – let us take the hassle out of installing your HOLIDAY LIGHTING!
Now is a good time to do some Winter mulching to protect your plants from freezing. It is also a good time to plant some Winter color.
Late Fall/early Winter is the best time to trim Live Oaks!
Remember trimming is strongly discouraged after January due to the risk of Oak Wilt.
If you don’t have a functional freeze guard on your pool then set your timers to start at 4 a.m. through the coldest part of winter. On the night of a freeze, set your pool equipment to run through the night. If your pool equipment was all running automatically over Monday night then you probably have nothing to worry about!
General Cold Weather Tip
If your water pipes and taps are exposed to the cold, then let your taps drip very slightly. This allows warmer water to move through your pipes and resist a freeze. If it’s cold enough, it can help resist a burst when the water freezes.
We will be running on skeleton staff from December 25th to January 1st inclusive and will only be servicing emergencies. We will do our best to work around your needs. We wish you and your family a healthy and happy holiday season.
