What Does Our Lawn Care Program Include?

You get six lawn care treatments performed by a licensed YardDoc technician over the course of the year that include:

Inspecting your lawn, and looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues at every visit.
Pre-emergent summer weed control and post emergent spot weed treatment in spring.
3x lawn fertilizations and post emergent spot weed treatments.
1x lawn fertilization and post emergent spot weed treatment, including a pro-active lawn pest treatment to help with above and below ground lawn pests.
Pre-emergent winter weed protection and post emergent spot weed treatment in fall.

6 Seasonal Lawn Care Program Treatments in Detail

First Treatment:

Spring Pre-emergent weed protection + Spot Post-emergent weed treatment (Jan-Feb):

Inspect lawn, looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues.
Fertilization—As the grass is still mostly dormant, this treatment focuses on applying a potassium feed to boost the health of the grass and the grass root system without stimulating growth. This facilitates the absorption of nutrients and carbohydrates so that the lawn is better prepared for the oncoming growth season.
Apply a Pre-emergent weed barrier to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
Apply a Post-emergent spot weed treatment for broadleaf and grassy weeds as needed.

Second Treatment:

Re-vitalizer and Growth Enhancer (Mar-Apr):

Inspect lawn, looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues.
Fertilization—The growth season is starting, so we apply nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium to feed the grass and promote healthy, lush growth.

Third Treatment:

Nutrient Growth Enhancer & Insect Treatment (May-Jun):

Inspect lawn, looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues.
Fertilization—Supporting continued healthy lush growth throughout the growing season with a nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium mix. In addition, we do a turf grass pest treatment to suppress the more common lawn pests in the Austin area.
Apply a Post-emergent Spot weed treatment for broadleaf and grassy weeds as needed.

Fourth Treatment:

Nutrient Growth Enhancer (Jul-Aug):

Inspect lawn, looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues.
Fertilization—Supporting continued healthy lush growth throughout the growing season with a nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium mix.
Apply a Post-emergent Spot weed treatment for broadleaf and grassy weeds as needed.

Fifth Treatment:

Nutrient Growth Enhancer (Sep-Oct):

Inspect lawn, looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues.
Fertilization—Supporting continued healthy lush growth throughout the growing season with a nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium mix.
Apply a Post-emergent Spot weed treatment for broadleaf and grassy weeds as needed.

Sixth Treatment:

Fall Pre-emergent weed protection + Spot Post-emergent weed treatment (Oct-Nov):

Inspect lawn, looking for signs of poor health, insect, or disease issues.
Fertilization—As the grass is now entering its dormant phase, this treatment focuses on applying a potassium feed to boost the health of the grass and the grass root system without stimulating growth. This facilitates the absorption of nutrients and carbohydrates so that the lawn is better prepared for the oncoming cold season and the potassium helps reduce Winter damage and enable quicker recovery.
Apply a Pre-emergent weed barrier to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
Apply a Post-emergent Spot weed treatment for broadleaf and grassy weeds as needed.
