Coping is a term borrowed from architecture. It is essentially used to describe any type of finishing element that completes or accentuates a feature. Yay, safety! It can be hard to get excited about safety features. Well, that is until you get a little hot-footed around the pool, slip, and end up on your tail. Pool coping channels water away from the pool’s edge. The edging is tilted slightly toward the deck, diverting any splash-over into the drainage tiles.
