Your garden is about to take a deserved rest before the following season. Now is a good time for Fall plantings, bed cleanups – including, weeding beds, trimming plants, mulching and hauling off leaves. Let us know if we can help
Pool filtration run times can be reduced to 8 hours per day. Once the average water temperature drops below 65 degrees, we recommend using liquid chlorine, which we do for pools we manage. This will help reduce stabilizer levels in the pool that build up over the year with the use of chlorine tablets.
You may need your pool heater soon! Now is a good time to fire up your pool heater and make sure that it works so you don’t get a nasty surprise later! As a warranty partner for the biggest brands we can solve any heater problem you may encounter.
It’s going to get cold – Better to be prepared! If your water pipes and taps aren’t insulated, then let your taps drip very slightly. This allows warmer water to move through your pipes and resist freezing, and if it’s cold enough, it can help prevent a burst when the water freezes.
Keeping Critters Out! As soon as it gets colder, you may start experiencing unwelcome visitors trying to get into your warmer home. Most often, insects gain access by sensing a warmer draft of air through a gap, crack, or a weakened weather strip. The insects follow the warmer air, and that leads them into your home.
To avoid this, make sure that these items are properly sealed up before it gets cold. Bigger critters like raccoons or possums look for weaknesses in siding, trim, or tiles and then actively enlarge them to gain access. Fixing these problem areas before it gets colder will help dissuade these critters from targeting your home.
