Mulching is an evolutionary process with wonderful garden benefits. YardDoc recommends mulching twice a year. Save money and protect your garden by mulching in September. Mulch blocks weeds and covers the ground to help moderate the temperature. It also helps to retain moisture, improves drainage and offers nutrients to the soil.

Want to save water? If it is going to rain then switch off your irrigation. 1″ of rainfall equates to one weeks water needs in mid-summer, so if it rains 1″ you can leave it off for that week. If the rain doesn’t materialize then run your irrigation for one extra cycle to catch up.
Don’t want critters in your attic?! Keeping trees cut back 4 to 5 feet from your roof is the first step we recommend for keeping unwanted critters out of your attic. Check this at least annually and let us know if we can help.
